1. How can the conversion be made between "watts (W)" and "amp hours (Ah)"?
W=I x V = 4I (15 minute rate) = 2CV = 2V
(Ex. HC1217W = 17/4 = 4.25Ah)
2. Does the deep-cycle battery have a "memory"?

Charging, Discharging & Durability
The way of charging valve regulated lead-acid battery is divided into
recycle charging method
which is used in electric vehicle, electric tool, electric players, golf car and so on.
The other one is
float charging method
which is used in ups power back up, telecommunication, electric power system, storage equipments and so on.
Recycled Charging Method at 25°C+/-5°C
1. Constant current of 0.1(0.2) times capacity is charged up to 15v(7.5v).
2. Then charging will be finished in another 6 hours.
Float Charging Method at 25°C+/-5°C
1. Constant current of 0.1(0.2) times capacity is charged up to 13.8v-14v(6.9v-7.0).
2. Then current is tersfered into 0.05 times capacity to keep the float charging status.
Over- discharging
Over- discharging will cause damage to the battery and shorten the life of the battery. The values of the discharging current and final voltage are as follows:

Transportation, Storage and Maintance
1.
It should never be tossed as it would crack the casing as the battery is heavy while the outside casing is easy to break, causing the highly corrosive sulphuric acid to leak and damaging the battery.
2.
The stack should not be higher than 5 layers. Otherwise it will damage the terminal at the bottom layer during transportation.
3.
The batteries in storage should be inspected once a month. If the terminal voltage is found to be lower than the normal voltage.
It should be recharged immediately, otherwise too much self-discharging may disable any recharging capability.
In general, the recharge should be carried out once every 3 months.
